Grooming Standards

**Proper Grooming is expected of all our Team Members. **

We expect every employee to:

SHOWER DAILY:

It is not only important to look clean, one has to be clean. Proper daily bath would help the individual to stay healthy and in controlling body odor. Deodorants are advisable to contain body odor provided they are not offensively strong. Having a bath twice a day is advisable.

STYLE HAIR IN NEAT, CONSERVATIVE MANNER:

Individuals are expected to keep their hair clean, neat and tidy. Female team members in service with long hair are to be properly combed and tied. Male team member are not allowed to have unruly long hair. As far as possible males are advised to keep their hair, manageably short.

FACIAL HAIR:

Team members are permitted to keep well trimmed moustaches .Beards are not allowed. Side Burns should be not be longer than the ear level.

KEEP HANDS AND NAILS CLEAN AND WELL MANICURED:

Team members are expected to keep their hands clean and nails well manicured. Long nails are not acceptable for service and kitchen personnel. Nail polish if used by female team members will need to be light colored and not chipped or flaked. Female in the Kitchen are advised to not use nail polish. Team members are advised to wash their hands compulsorily after smoking, using the toilet and also after clearance of dirty plates and vessels. Team members are advised to wash their hands as many times as possible.

HAVE FRESH AND CLEAN BREATH:

Team members are advised to always maintain oral hygiene. They are advised not to eat strong odor food like onion, garlic, etc which would create bad mouth odor. They are advised to use mouth fresheners if they consume the above said food. Team members are expected to use fresheners after smoking. Use of chewing gum while on duty is not acceptable.

WEAR WELL KEPT SHOES:

Team members are advised to wear clean, well polished, flat footwear which would be easy on the feet, since it requires that the individual needs to stand on his feet for a long duration of time. Footwear prescribed by the management will only be used.

JEWELLERY:

Individuals, male and female, are advised to wear minimal jewellery. Religious bands and watches should not be visible. Flashy and sport watches should not be worn whilst on duty.

WEAR NEAT AND CLEAN UNIFORM:

Team members are expected to wear clean and neat uniform and take pride in wearing the uniform. The individual should see that the uniform that they wear has required buttons, is hemmed, not crushed and that it fits them properly. Team members are expected to take ownership of the uniform and treat like its their own. Uniforms should not be worn outside the premises without the permission of the Manager.

CUTS & SORES:

Cuts and sores must always be completely covered with a suitable waterproof dressing which should be changed regularly.

NAME TAGS:

Team Members shall wear the name tag provided by the management at all times whilst on duty. The loss of a name tag should be immediately informed to the manager who will organize for a replacement for a small fine.

The management has right to take disciplinary action on team members who dont follow the standard grooming procedures.
