From bf824cae26ef4708b43f392d66caded387115afe Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Amritanshu Date: Tue, 22 Sep 2026 21:37:01 +0530 Subject: [PATCH] Wait on the container's own health, not the host's DNS The app's health check ran on the target host against the container name, which only resolves inside the Docker network, so the wait could never succeed. Poll the image's HEALTHCHECK instead and fail with a readable message. Also pin site.env to the app user when it exists, and say how to install the provisioning script on the server. --- menu-admin/readme.md | 20 +++++++++++-- menu-admin/roles/menu-app/tasks/main.yaml | 34 ++++++++++++++++++----- 2 files changed, 44 insertions(+), 10 deletions(-) diff --git a/menu-admin/readme.md b/menu-admin/readme.md index 010267d..4322b4c 100644 --- a/menu-admin/readme.md +++ b/menu-admin/readme.md @@ -30,8 +30,12 @@ to the app repo, a new image, and a redeploy (ADR 0005). # 2.
